Back to Glory — Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

Back to Glory is a personal calorie-balance system, operated privately. It is not an advertising or analytics product and contains no third-party SDKs. This policy covers both Connect IQ items and the web page:

What the watch face and watch app read

Neither item reads your location, your contacts, your messages or your Garmin user profile. The watch app declares exactly two Connect IQ permissions — Communications, to reach the server, and ComplicationPublisher, to hand the day's total to the watch face on the same device.

Haptic feedback

The watch app vibrates when you record a food entry, and vibrates more strongly once you pass a deficit target. This uses the device's own vibration motor, respects the vibration setting on your watch, and involves no data leaving the device.

Where the data goes

Both the watch face and the watch app communicate only with the operator's own server at back-to-glory-production.up.railway.app. Data is stored there in a per-user file so that the same figures appear on the watch, the phone and the web page. It is not shared with, sold to, or transmitted to any third party, and there are no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.

Garmin account data

With your authorisation, the service reads your daily activity summary (calories, steps, heart-rate summary) from the Garmin Connect API in order to compute the calorie balance shown on the watch. Only those daily summary figures are stored — no workout GPS tracks, no sleep detail beyond the daily summary, and no personal profile fields.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept for as long as you use the service. To have your data deleted, contact the operator at the address below; the stored file is removed and the Garmin authorisation is revoked.
